The harpies!



The harpies are a proud race that came with the floating islands to block empires in the latest storm, their capital city "Boreads" is located high up in the sky only available to the harpies themselves.

What is a harpy you may wonder? Well harpies are a mythology creature from the ancient greece, 
½ men, ½ bird. And you may also wonder: "harpies have wings, how can they make them in minecraft?"
Yes, well an exellent question, you see we have recently developed a new plugin called "wingocraft" it allows us to place basic wings on a minecraft player working a bit like a cape.
(We plan to have enderdragon wings in the future)


Harpies will be able to fly anywhere at anytime, there is no cooldown on their racial passive skill:"Wings" , it works like creative flying but you are slowly falling down so you can't stay AFK in the air.

This race will be out on 3.0 release!

Gamemodes:

Capture the Flag

This gamemode consists of a head to head
battle to capture the opposing teams flag. To capture their
flag, you will have to locate it, and then break the flag wool
to steal it. Once you are in possesion of their flag run to your
team spawn or flag to capture it! Beware! You cannot capture the flag
if the other team has your flag. Each time you capture the flag your
team will recieve one point.

Deathmatch

This gamemode consists of high action packed PvP. 
Kill or be killed, as they say. Each team starts
out with a lifepool with a certain amount of lives.
Each time a player dies on your team your lifepool will
go down one point. The goal is to deplete the
other team's lifepool to 0 live, the first team to do this,
wins!!!

Seek and Destroy

This gamemode consists of lots of booming and banging.
In each map of this gamemode type there are bomb locations, usually
in the center of the map. The goal is to acquire the bomb and blow up
the opposing teams base. Find the bomb, then punch it to acquire it, run
to the other teams base and....BOOM! Each time your blow up your opponents
base your team will recieve one point.

Classes:
Minewars consists of a unique class system, each time you spawn you will spawn with a "class". There are currently 16 classes to choose from. However, due to server expenses and work only 4 classes are free. You can buy the other classes from or server shop for a small price located HERE. See all available classes HERE.

The Event starts Saturday (tomorrow, July 7) at 2PM EST (11:00 AM PST, 7:00 PM GMT, 8:00 PM CET).

How the event works:

First off, to get to the event itself you will have to travel to the "Main" World and find "Moriarty's Meteor" (The location of the meteor will change every event). Once you find the meteor there will be a portal to the Eclipse Battleground. In the battleground you will spawn in a small village, where you will stay until the actual event starts. When the event starts the gates on the village will be dropped and you must charge the Eclipse Fortress! However, the Wizard Moriarty has been gathering up troops (The Staff)! To defeat the evil Wizard you must get to the top of the tower and battle him! If you succeed to kill him the first 10 people that loot hit chest will receive a special reward. (Could be a uber enchant sword or armor :p)

Block Empires now going to be a part of a great project. It is being developed by Block Empires and Voxela, and essentially does this.


mcHUB is a cloud server that gives you, the player, an option to play whatever you'd like- always. We have every type of server: role play, economy, hardcore PvP, jail, capture the flag, Hunger Games, freebuild, and more coming soon!


We aim to open on August 1st, right after 1.3 comes out. At that point, you can continue playing on Block Empires, or explore our other new realms! Joining the Hub is Block Empires, Voxela, Fabled Kingdoms, mcAPEX, and a freebuild server which we will announce later.
